Mpix has always rocked for us, and with them printing on the same kodak endura paper as everyone else it really doesn't make sense, however, i would never let them color correct my images whether it be mpix or millers, considering color correction and manipulation is what we do. By the way, i was somewhat interested and amused with what i got recently with some mpix true b&w prints I just uploaded several of the files to mpix, and the 4x6 prints looked pretty good
Mpix automatically does a color correction for each print (except for their economy 4x6 prints) unless you tell them not to, so my image may have had the green tint to it and their color correction corrected it where as costco printed exactly what they were given Lastly, i have not dealt with mpix's customer service so i cannot comment on it. If mpix believes that 200 dpi is the minimum resolution for a 'good' print, then an 11x14 would be the maximum size for a 2200x2800 scan In fact, mpix scans at 1228x1818, which, while not impressive, gives a resolution of >130 dpi for an 8x10.</p>
I was going to order some pics thru mpix.com and was wondering if when i order them and i choose the size i want for them (like say 5x7 or 8x10) will it tell me that the pixels are wrong/off for that size and won't let me choose that
If that happens, do i just need to resize my pictures them. I've been using mpix for my digital prints for over a year now and have been very pleased with the quality and service, but just recently i noticed that they recommend sending files with an srgb color space
